"Slave Museum" to Be Built in Ghana

Routes of Remembrance: Refashioning the Slave Trade in GhanaPlans are underway to build a "slave museum" in Ghana, to serve as a monument to the Transnational Slave Trade. I don't think this is the first one, as has been reported, as there is a "slave museum" in Dakar, Senegal, and I believe there is oe in the Caribbean as well. Very possibly, there are others.

Still, this is a positive move.

The plan to build the museum is being discussed between city experts in Liverpool, England and some local Ghanaian chiefs. Click here to read more.
