South Africa Remixed at the Schomburg

The Schomburg will celebrate South Africa Remixed this Saturday.  The programme will include film, live music and discussions.

Women's Jazz Festival at the Schomburg

The Women's Jazz Festival at the Schomburg is billed as "A gathering of some of New York's Best come together to give praise to those who lead the way".

Includes the Spelman Jazz Ensemble and the Berniece Johnson Reagon Songbook.

Holiday Open House at the Schomburg

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, a research unit of The New York Public Library, is recognized as one of the leading institutions of its kind in the world.

They will also be screening The Black Candle, a film about Kwanzaa narrated by Maya Angelou, on 21st December. Click here for details. This is a free event.
